What is the Church of Atom?

The Church of Atom is an informal religious entity centered around the worship of ionizing radiation as a divine force. Inspired loosely by the Children of Atom of the Fallout media franchise, the Atomic Priesthood nuclear semiotics thought experiment, and animism in general, the Church of Atom, or Atomism, is a real-world religious philosophy "founded" in 2018.
In addition to calling attention to the divinity of a phenomenon so often forgotten in the realms of animistic debate, our goal is to promote education about ionizing radiation, and assuage common fears about it.
