Why do you worship radiation?
Why does anyone worship anything? Ionizing radiation is arguably the single most influential phenomenon ever discovered by humankind. Dwarfing, in its short years as a known science, ancient, foundational truths about the universe we live in, it is, without exaggeration, the discovery of fire of the modern day. As Children of Atom we view the endless, methodical, and yet still chaotic decay of elements, and their emission of electromagnetic radiation, as holy, divine workings of a greater machine. Particles emitted by decaying elements are byproducts of the very fabric of the universe exchanging energy with itself, decaying and evolving all at the same time. They symbolize the greatest products of change our world can offer, performing alchemical miracles as effortlessly as we breathe, combining life and death in a single, unified moment. Like fire, radiation is to be respected, not feared. Like fire, it is fundamental in our lives in ways we are often not even consciously aware of.
