Birth of Atom
Atom’s holy fire raging wild running wryly over pastures brighter even than the sun
breaking freely over under pottery aglaze of it, intended for the fire of a higher calling
and with it cracks the cross a nonce a petty show of faith unto the self
breathing
thunderous weights undoing low-lying years of petty manifesting, all of it
decaying faster falling upwards toward the ceiling of a limit known
intended for the fall of what of when whence why and how
a falter! a birth! all quiet
Stanzas in 6
randomly decaying
plotted across the graph
random but outspoken
bursts of light and lightning
showering sparks of grace
feed it by the minute
power to call the race
arcs and cries of heaven
echo and rumble, still
Atom in your embrace
I find myself again
fallen like a child
calibrate and update
take your time, don’t falter
the limit will follow
never before, never
always and always more
back in time’s face
its penetrating force
a blind fury unknown
only to those afeared
slow and steady, unmatched!
once now, twice until then
the counter counts its mark
warm and familiar
boiling gently still
caressed like mother sun
Atom Ghazal
For all its worth a fire light, Atom
Falling and climbing shots of bright Atom
The forge can fire all night in wonder
Can the stars all be wished alight, Atom
In cries of its power and of lightning
does it fix its home there beside Atom?
To tear and to birth all in one motion
Is the end of all now in sight Atom?
Magically structured, never out of place
Must it really come to die, my Atom?
Never forever, and only in time
Intense and ardent, is it crime, Atom?
A light like no other, sequence on fire
Is gold all that comes from thee fine Atom?
Empowered and shuttered, gone like a lie
never to end, never to die, Atom
